Farewell, My King

Punapippuri, King Kitty Cat of Finland(N)

September 2008 - 6 July 2017

Nuku hyvin, pikku rohkea mieheni

Äiti: With a very heavy heart I have to pass on this sad news.  The surgery on Punapippuri's stomach revealed extensive aggressive tumours and he is now at peace. Please, as soon as you can move through the shock, celebrate his life and feel joy for what he shared with us. He brought me friends from across the world and enriched my small life far more than I could ever have imagined.  Here in his Kingdom he gave me so much love and attitude, in his wonderful sassy, tailio swishing way. In particular in the last week - as I knew he was fighting something - he gave me so very much.

Please, Loyal Readers, feast on fine lohi and raise your glass to him with a smile; a life like his must be celebrated. I want the happy memories to live on - his peemails certainly will.

About 8 years ago I visited ystävämme eläinlääkäri for the first time and by coincidence a pikku pentu had been left there, having been found wandering lonely in Muhos fields.  That was the greatest gift I was ever given, and I thank everyone at Lemmikki for their care and love for this bratty boy until the end.  He will be missed beyond words and I want to think he is with Stran, his best buddy. And now my two best buddies together. We have 24 hour daylight still here so it will be a while before I can look for  their dancing tails in the revontulet.

I need to take a break with this blog which I know you will understand. But there will be a blog of some sort soon, when I sort out my thoughts. It will have a new address and I'll let you know here when it's ready.

Fare thee well, Pipster. Love you, little guy.

We are weeping as we raise our glasses to this fine ManCat, but raise them we do. You were my bestest friend, King P, and you brought me joy every day. I'm glad you lived in Kitty Paradise there with Aiti, and the perhe. The Human and I will remember you with love and joy for always and always.

We are so sorry to learn of the passing of King Punapippuri. We send purrs and love, and raise a glass to his amazing life, and to his memory.

King Punapippuri, you will be greatly missed. I'm sure Zoe was at the Rainbow Bridge to greet you with a slap to the head (before you were reunited with Stran, of course - she wasn't stupid!). Nine years was not long enough for your Aiti to have you around, but 50 years would not have been enough either. Until we meet again, beautiful boy.

I owe a huge debt to HRH King P of Finland (North)-he sent me the best friend I've ever had, and the most wondrous adventure of a lifetime.
It was an honoUr and a great pleasure to pet you purrson, Punapippuri. Your legacy is the comradeship of love around the globe.
Codspeed, sweet boy, and may you rest in peace.

Sending comforting purrs to you Aiti. Such a wonderful ginger mancat, but he was brought to you and you gave him a wonderful life, full of love, treats and fellow kitty cats to rule.

I am sure Derby and lots of his fellow blogging buddies welcomed him with open paws. He is now free of pain and healthy. Purrs.

My human and I were so shocked and saddened when we read about Puna earlier this evening. We will celebrate his life in time, but we are still reeling. Lots of purrs to you - my human knows what it's like to be where you are right now.

We are so very sorry to read this news. We met Puna-Chan many years ago, when he was still very much a youngster, and he helped to shape our formative blogging years (as well as taught us some Finnish!). We cannot believe he is gone. Finland must be a very quiet place today. We bow our heads in respect and send our warmest condolences to Äiti and all the family.

Soft Purrs,

I am so sorry and the tears are running freely at this very sad news. Punapippuri has left far too early and will be greatly missed. He not only brought you friends from around the world Karin, but brought you and his family to us to enjoy the beautiful photos and adventures.
I know there were many waiting for him and he has gone to peace and happiness. The pain and grief is for those left behind, but when you are ready take pleasure of the many happy memories he has given you. Love and hugs, Jackie.

I can only hope that in time your happy memories bring your heart comfort and soothe your soul. We will honor him with a celebration of his life during our paw circle this evening. Sending love and gentle hugs to all that loved him from near and far.

Crushing news. Our tears are falling and hearts are breaking. Our special candle has been lit and we search , in vain, for an answer to the question why.
What little comfort to be found is knowing this dear boy is no longer suffering. We send you all of our love and prayers.
He had the best life with you. You understood him and accepted him for himself.

I know I do not comment often, but that didn't mean I didn't follow along your Punapippuri. I admire your fine desire to wish to celebrate a special life and although that is the ultimate truth, for awhile there will be sadness of a deep loss in your heart and the hearts of others who care. May his journey continue through the stars and the heavens above, and if you believe as I do that one day your reunion will be glorious. Deep purrs.

I am still in shock to know King Punapippuri has gone to rainbow bridge. I still remembered we had a great time teasing each other when we first know each other by blogging. He was a king of Finland, and I was a king of some street in Melbourne Australia. I still keep the toys he sent me ( I didn't keep the Hammick because I turned to be a big cat. I gave to some kitty before I moved to Bangkok ). We had a good time indeed. Many years has passed, I didn't do blog more often. Deal to Human's complicated life which I don't want to get involved. I am so sorry . I do love you, my friend. Rest in peace.
Hug to Äiti

What a very sad piece of news that is!
We all know we must die and our kitties die younger than we.
I had not known Punapippuri for long but that was a very gentle cat.
It will be three months tomorrow that we had to put Frimousse to sleep and just over 5 months that RouXy died. He looked very much like Punapippuri...
I'm sure Punapippuri is everywhere today. Everywhere but nowhere to be seen. You miss him I'm sure.
Poor kitty. The only good point is the fact that you prevented him to suffer.
My very best whishes.
