Stomach Ache Saturday

So, I have been given the news of the results of the violation of my tummy which resulted in the shaving of some curly bits, and a neatly glued up little scar which I have finally allowed to be photographed. Now the results may sound a bit bad, but it's nothing to panic over and I need to take things easy. Well, that sounds okay to me!
The outer lining of my stomach has some weird cells, called neoplasts. They are apparently irritating me, and that is why I - allegedly - irritate Veikko since I am frequently 'in a piss'. That is Äiti's term, not mine and I dispute it strongly. Now these neoplasts could develop into something more nasty, but if I keep my stomach acid down and eat healthily and avoid stress (like the felociraptors) then hopefully all will be well. I could have surgery to try to remove them but that is stressful and not a guaranteed success, so Äiti has said that we try the antacid medication. I am assured this does not mean I will be going into the forest and chewing on ants' nests as antacid actually means anti-acid which is silly - why is it not then called anti-antacid ? Pöh.

As a result, Äiti has said that I will have my own King's Quarters in her bedroom - which was, you may recall, the Recovery Suite. Since I behaved well in there and didn't peemail over everything, she has said maybe I could stay there longer. I get more food, and it is calmer in there away from the rabble. Lewis is usually in there with me and we get along well.

Äiti has hacked a hole in the door, for ventilation as she finds it very hot in there at night, and I also like to be able to see out a bit. She is in the process of building me a climbing pole and more shelves so I can have better vantage points. And, I will be able to wander the rest of the Castle when she is in residence and is available to tend to my every whim (Äiti's note - meaning supervising you when you try to attack Veikko). False news Loyal Readers, do not believe it!

And of course at night, I get to snuggle up with Äiti which is of course my duty as Head of Perheeni.  She's beginning to get used to my desire to wash her face at 3am. In the meantime I assure you I am fighting fit and eating lots, and making sure that those nekkids know who is boss.

WE want some of those. One each. And if it means Mommy has to build on some extra rooms, well, too bad.

King P, we have all paws crossed that your cells stay calm and your tummy keeps happy. And that Äiti ceases and desists printing slander about your PEEhavioUr on the blog.

Puna! Having your own Royal Quarters sounds rather delightful, and your human will take the bestest care of you. Your shaved belly is still very tempting to us snorgling humans! Thank you for sharing your health news with us

I think it's cool that you get your own quarters! You should, as befits your title.

Real royals do not mingle with the riff-raff. I mean, when was the last time we saw Elizabeth hanging with her posse, enjoying a pint at the local? QED.

Sending purrs that the lifestyle changes are enough to make you feel all better

Hopefully dear Punapippuri 's condition can be managed effectively and things can settle down at home. Does Aiti have doors with panels in then? Maybe she could remove a panel and screw in a metal screen protector in its place.
Nice for Lewis to have company. Sounds like the new arrangement will be beneficial to both kitties. And Aiti may enjoy a less peed living environment. ( Our Alfie is a freestyler too.)
