Thursday Traveller

One of Äiti's 'hobbies' is geocaching, which is apparently using multi-million pound GPS stuff to find silly plastic boxes hidden in odd places. Sadly she's not been able to do any scrabbling around in swamps for a year or so, but during that time something very odd has happened. This little kitty is a 'trackable' and conscientious geocachers move them from cache to cache. Äiti a mission for it, 'CacheCat' wanted to travel the world to be with other kitties but finally end up with Äiti's bestest Brit buddy who is also a geocaching nerd. Here Cache Cat is in the forests of Finland(N), about to set off.
Here is her journey.
And on Tuesday, she completed her mission. This doesn't often happen as they go missing or get pinched. But after 934 days and nearly 20 000km, she was safe in the hands of Gataki, which is Äiti's friend's caching name. Äiti's name: CrazyCatWoman, hehehehe.
So CacheCat will now be living with BritCat cousins Bramble and Treacle; Äiti thinks a return journey is just too risky!

We wondered about Aiti's geocaching. (So sorry she is not able to!) Glad to see that Cache Cat has been been very busy and now is in safe paws!
Maybe Cache Cat will send in a few photos in the future??
Have a great day, sweet furriends.

How cool! Even though we live in a big city, it's still possible to do some urban geocaching... my human has always wanted to give it a try (and bring me along, of course!).
