Springtime Saturday

Our daylight hours are now longer than the nights, and the sun is shining brightly (sometimes). The birdies are returning and Äiti went out to welcome back the laulujuotsen, our national bird. Now these we would not try to hunt; they are big and noisy.
As you can see, there's still lots of snow and ice, including on the Catio. But when the sun shines brightly, we forget the fact it is still very chilly.
And the nekkids are determined to find sunpuddles. They do not stay outside long - it is below freezing after all. Äiti gets them inside pretty quickly, to the safety of the heaty pads.
But look who emerged from under the bookshelves; welcome to 2017, Tessie !
