Tarsus Thursday

It amazes me that the webby appendages of the nekkids always provoke interest among Loyal Readers.  But I concede not everyone has the, erm, joy of close ups with these weird paws. Actually, all of our feet are like this, except some of us have the decency and sense to have fur, hehehehe. Actually Veikko has some little fuzzy bits (and Seppo has more - in fact wethink he is half hobbit!).
Now here Veikko is hiding the dirt that gathers.
In summer, with better light, Veikko is a little more eager to flash his paw pads.
And here you can see how filthy his claws are! We all produce oils and waxes from our skin, and this is usually drawn up the hair so it is then groomed washed away as we groom ourselves. For the nekkids it just gathers and in particular can stick on the claw quick and under the nail bed skin.
And then they climb around and leave dirty grease marks! Luckily they cope quite well when Äiti cleans their paws, and even does clippy claws. And then of course there is bath time....... *shudder*

Hey, I am NOT naked - so why do I get baths twice a month? Not fair!

Aj aj aj, stupid us - of course this makes sense! We actually knew that nekkids need an occassional bath, but we didn't get the paw thing, but of course it makes sense.

Mom loves close-ups of nekkids (she learns a lot about our body) and you should post one of every inch of Veikko's body. Well, except the gender bits because they don't matter to us. On this close-up from summer, Mom could spot the tick / cancer we had last summer. No, not the bigger "toe" (?) thing we've on our front paws, but some cm above it, we cats have another "weird lump thing".

Does Äiti know what this is called? Mom seriously thought we had ticks, but changed her opinion as we had them very systematically - we both had one on each foreleg .... even our hysterical Mom realized that it's pretty unlikely that this means ticks or cancer, and didn't go to the vet.

Punapippuri, I cannot tell a lie; close ups of the nekkid's paws fascinate me! Maybe it's because with all of your furrs, we cannot see the details. I like the wrinkles and potbellies too...!
