Summer is coming! yes, Loyal Readers - we have passed the solstice and now there will be more light. Yay! This is the light we had at noon on Sunday. It was foggy and actually not that cold. This was taken from just 200m from the Catio, by our frozen lake.
There are also other reasons to celebrate - it is the last day of the autumn term today and that means Äiti is home to serve all our needs. And finally, we are off to a party - we hope - at Chat Aux Sphynx later.

Lovely photo! We have had a variety of weather this week - arctic temps and now we expect thunderstorms for Christmas. At least we never get bored. MOL!
Happy Christmas!
If I lived in Finland, I think I'd spend all winter in the Sauna!
We all got up at 5:44 a.m EST. to look out the window for the Solstice. We didnt actually see anything change, so we all went back to bed.
I love this! Summer IS coming, now we are on the downward slide back to warmth. Nice positive thinking, Punapippuri!
Thank you for linking to Chat Aux Sphynx - an amazing birthday! We read over there that you'll have the sauna on tonight - and we're very jealous.
Now to the solstice - Mom is enjoying the longer days in Germany, and that's though we live in the sunny, easy (that's how you like to put it at least) Southern Finland.
Winter is so pretty when I'm not in the middle of it freezing my tushie off
The gloom gives it a beautiful appearance.
