Teasday

This little video (also available here) was shot a few days ago when we still had wonderful sunshine. Veikko is having a good snort of this very stinky old sock!
Now this seriously stinky valerian that makes this so heavenly was sent by our pals in Finland(S), Kajsa and Tessa from When the Cat's Away, and it is in fact TEA which humans drink. Now Äiti is addicted to tea but it doesn't smell the same at all. She says that is good as she can at least drink her tea in peace. Personally I think it would be sacrilege to immerse valerian in hot water.

That sock must be DA BOMB! Mommy says there's NO WAY she'd drink valerian tea...it's too stinky! Sacrilege.

Glad to know it's valerian. We was afraid there might be a piece of a foot still in there.

Veikko is really tuned in to that sock! I once had some pills that had valerian in them, to help me sleep. I know people who drink catnip tea, but no one who drinks valerian tea.

Great reminder for Mom to make our toys stinky again!

And Mom wants to add sth: I'm a bit confused if this is a cultural thing. I had the same feeling last time when Äiti mentioned that this was sold as a tea for humans.

Judging by the comments and Äiti's text - no one mentioned why people drink Valerian tea. At least Germans drink Valerian tea if they have troubles to fall asleep. Valerian is known as a "natural" sleeping drug.

Just making sure that Äiti knows this?
