So, on Friday morning the Snack Dispenser did its job - except it only dispensed, rather than providing snacks.
With the encouragement of Mamma and Papa Beakie, 5 little squabs emerged - and quickly departed. We were locked inside. Ruska sums it all up with his down turned expression.
Despite much patrolling by us, no babies have been spotted nearby - clearly the gene pool is evolving the intelligence to steer clear of the catio. Pöh.

Well. THAT'S a major bummer! What's a Cat gotta do to get some inbred birdbrains around there?
Hehe, don't give up, Punatiikeri! Last year you got one of them AFTER the snack dispenser disappeared!
But be sure to be quick if you manage to catch one: Kajsa caught the other day a baby birdie. Can you believe that Mom took it away from her "because it was not hurt at all and will be fed by mamma and pappa on the ground" ??????? And now we're not allowed to be out without leashes until the end of this years' breading period. PAH. PÖH.
Those babies learned their lessons too well... OH well!
Too bad!
Maybe you should send the snack dispenser back under the trade description act!
Oh wow! Too bad you couldn't get a closer view of the birdies!
Darn it all. We're sure you would have enjoyed having one or two of those little ones over for dinner.

Not even one tasty little morsel? No fair.
Yesh PPP.
You have to wait patiently and stay awake. "Sun gonna rise soon" - I already catched one, nam.
