Good things come to those who wait, Loyal Readers. here is but one example - a slow roast chicken in Äiti's crockpot.
I was prepared to supervise.I am very, very patient.
Behind me is a light box Äiti constructed for growing kitty grass in winter. And today we have to celebrate as the winter nights are on the turn: it is the solstice! And that means more daylight. And sunpuddles will return - in a couple of months!

Chick-hen, sunshine, and Aiti at home???
It doesn't get much better than that!
Geez, seven hours??? Good thing you are patient, that's no fast food there. We have difficulties waiting mum to open a can, so it'a good thing she hasn't got a croc pot!
You'll love this then... TBT bought a new big crockpot and returned it (fer being way too big and cooking too hot) after throwing his old one away as "hard to wash". Then went to EBay and bought the exact one he threw away...
Your house gets to smell like chicken for SEVEN HOURS?! That almost makes it worth the wait!
... this is so unfair!! Our Mom hardly cooks, let alone for several hours!+++++
Seven hours of smelling chicken but not having any? We'd go mad with the wait!
Are you patient enough to wait for 7 hours though? Of course it will be worth it in the end.
What a pawsome day King P! Hope you got some chick-hen after that long wait.

We can't wait for longer days too. Too gloomy here with rain all the time and no snow on the ground to whiten and brighten things up.
