Wistful Wednesday

Because of many things, I am sat here safe and warm. I have perheeni; I have my role as King Kitty Cat of Finland(N), and I have many Loyal Readers whom I consider friends across the innerwebs. I do not think I would have had such luck without so many things happening to allow this. I live in a multi-cat, multinational house. Olen suomalainen; Äiti is English with a strong streak of German; Veikko and Seppo have some Russian heritage. We get on and no one fights over nationality or religion. In the past some humans have had to fight to help us now live in this free world, and it is terrifying that there are so many troubles in the world (may I point out, the HUMAN world) that are leading to huge numbers leaving their homes and heritage because they are no longer safe there. We can only hope that they can be welcomed in their new countries, like we have been, and ignorance and hatred can be replaced by knowledge and acceptance.  I am not a political King Kitty Cat, but to me it's pretty darn clear that the colour of skin is not a reason for dislike. Afterall, Seppo is pink and Veikko is black: so what ?  (okay, okay Äiti typed this in a hurry - BAD Äiti!: Veikko is pink and Seppo is black - but who cares??!))

We do not want bloodshed to sort things out; we want peace. But in the memory of all those who so nobly have given their lives to enable our world - my world, which I love dearly - to be free, we will tip our tails at 11:00 on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Armistice Day, in memory not just of WWI, but all conflict, and all sides.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

We couldn't agree more...we settle our spats quickly and then all is forgiven! Silly humans, the way they hold grudges and argue over which Cod is best--it's CRAZYPANTS.

That was very beautifully said, Punapippuri, and we're glad to have so wise king.

Mum had something in her eye reading this, and she said the timing for this was purrfect, because with dad they just yesterday finished some series called Band of Brothers. She's been very moody after that.

Mom wishes that you were a king for real (meaning in the human world).

We gotted a little leaky we must confess. Noble sentiments, nobly expressed by a noble king.

Wau PPP.
You should found a school to all human kings, queens, prime ministers and presidents.

Seppo is pink, hehheh. Sorry.

Hey PPP.
I tasted little bit more your blog... And suddenly I'm not sure any more - Is my struggle against stinky birds and mousies OK? And is it right to eat your opponent? Too big questions to me.

Beautifully put dear Punapippuri.
Our Mum went to the cemetery to place flags on her Dad and Mum's graves. Officer and corps nurse.
