Britcat Cousins Guest Post with 'Tocks

So today I am giving up my bloggie to a guest posting. Now this may be a bit of a shock as not only are they Britcats, but also girlcats! I am a little worried Aila will whap me if I don't let this happen. Aila met these two many years ago, when in fact they camped out at Äiti's place for a bit.

May I introduce:  Bramble

Treacle

Hi to Punapippuri's loyal readers! As mentioned in a previous blog post, we are two Britcat moggies who came from the same cat rescue in Bristol, England, as Aila and Lewis (and the very dearly missed Stran, Harris and Monty). We've spent the last week with Punapippuri's Äiti.

We are glad to have had some well-deserved comments on how pretty we are - thank you. And in response to the interest about our names, well, our "Moggery names" were Tabitha and Ebony, but our mummy and daddy didn't think that suited us. Bramble... well, I'm a bit round, quite sweet and very spiky! Treacle... I'm black, shiny, move like liquid and of course am also sweet. So there you go! We were incredibly shy when we moved to our forever-home but patience, head rubs and catnip have helped win us around. We love our mummy and daddy but still can be scaredy-cats when we have visitors...

Bramble says: I was most unimpressed that my mummy's attention was diverted away from providing a lap for me. Yes, okay, our visitor *did* provide treats, but she also smelled of that irksome Aila, so there was no way I was going on HER lap! And what on earth is all the fuss about this Valerian and Pollywogs*? Doesn't smell like food to me. Yep - the bottom of disrespect from me!

Treacle says: Ha ha - yep, I still have Auntie Karin under the paw. I wowed her with my sparkly beauty after I'd been out in the rain (who says only Finncats can have Sisu?) Several times I tempted her to visit me in my snuggly bed so that she could give me lots of tickles and belly rubs (I have to admit she is quite good at all that).
She also LOVED my singing voice at dinnertime. We send our best mews, purrs and 'tock wiggles to P's loyal readers and also a big hello to our cousins in Finland - and we hope that they stay a safe distance away from us! Bramble and Treacle xx

* Can you believe our Britcat cousins did not respond to the valerian!?!?! Treacle at first was interested but not for long; Bramble completely ignored it and was most disrespectful to Äiti all the time she was there, only coming near her when bribed with treats.

Such gorgeous ladies! And moggies too, Äiti sure was in good company. As two Finnish ladycats ourselves, we send most admiring wishes to the B&T. You rule!

Well, despite their cavalier treatment of Aiti, I find them quite beauteous, though of course I appreciate Treacle's resemblance to a floofy American ManCat you all know and love. Right?
