Nekkid Shades in the Sunshine

Seppo wishes it to be known he is not pink.  Veikko is keen for you to understand he is red.  Both are capable of the stinkeye if this is questioned.
They enjoy the sun and so far Äiti has not used sunscreen as she thinks the nekkids will not like it and lick it off.  She figures she trusts to Fate seeing as we are deprived of the sun for so long during the winters we must enjoy it while we can. Same with Aila's ears which are also not protected well - and none of us wants to rub sunblock on her extremities!

Mommy says she thinks the chemicals in sunscreen would be potentially more harmful than the sun rays you all receive; cats are, after all DESERT animals! You are at such a Northern latitude we imagine your ears and hides are quite safe.

And I guess that, unlike my human, they are not concerned about wrinkles either! (She slathers on sunscreen all year round.)

He *looked* pink yesterday! And rather . . . furry if I may say so!

He certainly looked pink yesterday. Cats may be desert animals but selective breeding has certainly altered the playing field when it comes to these kitties.
Living in desert and tropical climates, we've seen enough cancerous ears and nose leathers to last a lifetime. We ultra fair skins, i'm throwing myself in with the kitties, really take a beating in the sun.

Excellent photo of you nekkids.
The expression on both your faces are priceless! Veikko seems a tad taken aback and Seppo, well, he seems very suspicious. MOL!

Seppo seems a ginger ta us. And we would surely never call Veikko "red". ;)
