Silvervine Saturday

To keep us mellow through the trauma of the arrival of the Nekkid One, Äiti gave us a toy soaked in silvervine. Yes, that's the furry thing in front of me - it is NOT a mammal that I killed with my mighty hunting skills. Besides, mammals don't have labels sticking out of them.
I prodded and poked and drooled, but needless to say the others pretty much destroyed it. More photos soon of this hallucinogenic indulgence.

On another subject, Äiti has been out geocaching again and she has actually set her own cache! She has decided to have a theme, 'kesäkissa' which means summer cats. Here in Finland some nasty people used to get kittens for summer and keep them in their summer cabins for the holiday and then leave them there when they left. Pöh. Beneath contempt. It happened more in the past but can happen today. So Äiti is going to do a series of cat themed geocaches and is thinking of donating money to a charity each time one is found or 'favourited'. We were very pleased with her cache as she had designed it well but we're not allowed to show a photo of it here in case any Loyal Readers want to go find it. Pöh. So, if you want to see it, and are not a geocacher and promise not to tell any geocachers, then you can see it if you click here........

There are some urban geocaching locations very near us, and my human was thinking of taking me to look for them! One is literally mere blocks away.

Silvervine is the bomb! Every time I get it out to make fundraiser toys cats appear from out of nowhere! It's just amazing! MOL

You're a lucky cat that you still have your toy. I have a similar one, and it's my favorite. Our Mom took us abroad and forgot MY toy in Finland!!! This is not fair.

We love the cache; what a wonderful idea to get the message through! People who are interested in cats and their well-being would never get a kesäkissa, and they're the ones who read blogs and other cat pages. So we really like that Äiti is using another platform for promoting this important topic!

When Äiti was visiting us in Helsinki, she said that we were maybe last year's kesäkissat, so she's maybe speaking on our behalf.

Your silvervine toy looks wonderful! You can chew it,drool on it and when you have done that you can bunny kick it. Then of course you can crash out on it. The cache to help the kesäkissa is a lovely idea.
