Friday Fortifications

Loyal Readers, I am delighted with the support given by you when our beloved Finland(N) is under threat from King Spitty. Right now he is claiming it is nothing to do with him, but rather an error in the manufacturing of the map by a third party but I am dubious about this. However Äiti has told me to calm a little and not prime the Mirsku-missiles or deploy chemical warfare courtesy of Seppo (although I have allowed him extra rations of high protein stinky foods just in case).
So in the meantime, I show this photo of a mighty Finnish warrior cat who has slain a sneaky squirrel.
And for you Loyal Readers who are brave enough I direct you to this clip, which shows me refusing to hand over the prize. Beware that some of your human servants might be a little upset by this film as they may feel that squirrels are really cute and don't deserve this fate. But it is only nature. And no, my new name is not Hanni-pippuri thank you, Spitty dude. I do not eat or turn on my own kind.......

We couldn't look at the clip with the squirrel because Mom Paula is one of those who thinks all (almost all) animals are cute.

My human had to wrestle squirrels from the cat before Sparkle a few times! She caught several every summer! She was a fierce hunter, and felt she was providing for her home. Even if she wound up eating her own catch.

I take it our negotiations have come to a satisfactory and mutually respectful (if suspicion-tinged) conclusion? We could've showed Kissinger and Le Duc Tho a thing or two and gotten that whole Vietnam mess under control in a LOT less than four years! In honor of our detente, I shall rescind the Hannipippuri moniker I so thoughtlessly bestowed--as long as you refrain from ingesting any of the Perhe.

Squirrels stoopy enough to trespass on the territory of 13 felines probably do deserve their fate--but the Human will still not allow it to be viewed. I'll have to wait till she's asleep, or gone, or something!

We think squirrels can be quite vicious and they are sneaky! Many years ago when our human sister was just a little kid, she became quite upset over a squirrel that urinated on her face. Our Mommy has never quite looked at them the same way since that day. They're cute, but hardly innocent!
MOL MOL MOL!!

Happy hunting!

Innocent squirrels? Haha. I think squirrels and cats have much in common - they make humans awww, but they aren't innocent and cute. I saw once a squirrel in a bird-nest, destroying / eating the eggs.

Fierce! We're of the 'not watching the video' crowd, but still think it's awesome that you were able to catch a squirrel!

We got the intestinal gas all ready. Just tell us when to add the liver.

Well, that squirrel nomming video ought to bring the point home! Hopefully, all the dust will settle now with mutual respect to both sides. Maybe over some squirrel pie?

You would be in so much trouble here. However, the human doesn't worry about vermin loose in the house since I'm an indoor cat and have no catio :(

You must be a might hunter King P....those squirrels are fast and sneaky little creatures. We don't get to hunt them, just watch them from our sunny room window 'cuz the mom bean won't let us out. Silly bean!
