Thursday Tumbling Teleportation Device

Our Tuesday post about our new facilities sparked interest so I have waited until an alliteratively titled opportunity to elaborate. Here is the 'Litter Spinner' after being in use for several days. Yes, yes, somecat piddled on the rug but to be honest this is a zillion times better than the state it was in before when we had an ordinary tray. And we are a reality website: we show it as it really is (be warned, it gets worse). And we are not in the pay of the company that makes these things either.
So, to clean the drum to remove that which is better out than in, first wait patiently for the facilities to be vacated.
Alert the servant to this fact and get her gloved up. She must place a hand on the drum and push.....
....so that the drum rotates (it does this about its base like a log, it does not have a central axle thingy like a hamster wheel). The litter then falls downwards, and if this movement is done slowly, it doesn't tumble, it just stays close to the base. And it is easy to push too - Äiti is not meant to be doing heavy work right now and this was not a problem for her at all.
This is when it gets clever, after one revolution the filter thingy catches the lumpy bits. This is then pulled out and you can see the gatherings which are then removed. Now Äiti span the drum too fast so there are more lumps in the litter in the drum: she just repeated the process and it was clump free second time around.
As for issues such as 'does Mirsku fit?', well actually he has not been seen in it so far. He enjoys the great outdoors for his doings and is in fact a very private feline - until he wants to do some peemailing.
And is it a teleportation device ? Well no, sadly not. But hang on, where is Mirsku ?

I too was wondering about the bigger cats in the family. I know someone like me or Mesi would easily fit... but I wonder about cats like Boodie.

And bummer that it is not a teleportation device.

We kittens would love that thing. One of us could go inside to use it and the other could perch on top to whap the user when they emerge.
So many possibilities....
There's now way Princeton could get his big arse up in there, though. MOL!

I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was looking forward to reading more about the mouse!

(I'm glad that your plan worked out though!)

That is a fascinating device. Maybe a larger cat who doesn't fit in could have fun spinning it when there is a small kitten sized kitty in there.

I think most of my kitties wouldn't fit in there.

TBT here: Holy Cod (as you cats say), that looks just like a garden compost-sifter (for the same purpose of getting clumps out). I could kick myself in the wallet for not thinking of this myself before.

Hmmm. I do not believe this device would earn the Spitty-the-Kitty Good LitterBoxing Seal of Approval. I do not care for enclosed spaces AT ALL, at any time, let alone when I am tending to my personal needs. I like my box roomy and most of all, OPEN to the fresh indoor air, MOL. That thing looks like an abomination is what it looks like. I might not mind seeing the Beauteous Aila having a genteel pee in there, though. Otherwise? Phffffft.

Fascinating ! Not sure that Zorro fits in it, though. Purrs
