Monday Medical Update

So, Äiti has had two pounds of flesh removed (748g) and was feeling so good yesterday that she persuaded the doctors she had most excellent nursing care at home. Seppo was the first to bounce on her belleh!
Oh yes, she should have curled up in agony - except for her sneaky medical aid. She had a protective rigid cover over her.  This was in fact half a big bucket, cut to form an arc. I found it most satisfactory.
And you know what, it was a much better idea than the one Mom Trish had: she wanted Äiti to cut head and arm holes in a cardboard box and take photos of herself. Didn't she realise one jump from Mirsku and the box would collapse ? Oh yes she did, she said it as a joke. And look where that joke got her - in our Castle joining in the nursing! All is going well and we thank you most kindly for your good wishes!

Thank you for updating us! I'm so glad you're doing fine!

And yes, you've got 14 nurses at home (and at least one is reasonable and trustworthy. :D )

Glad to see Aiti back home with attentive nursing care. The half bucket is a good idea.
When my mum had her op, my dad got a bedside table and made an extended top for it to stop me and Eric bouncing on her. It made a good bed for us too.

Could you possibly rent a hospital tray table. (Mama Trish knows the kind). They offer height adjustability and great flying kitty protection as well and they can be wheeled to wherever you need them. Plus you can eat on them and keep some stuff in 'em.
