Mancat Monday

Lewis is our star for the day, hiding away in a pod. He has been a bit less trusting of Äiti as she keeps grabbing him every day to give him yucky medicine. But it is helping his eyes and we hope he realises this.
When Lewis and Harris decided they could become Äiti's first kitties over 9 years ago, back in Bristol, Lewis arrived with runny eyes and the vet there treated him for many months but it would not clear up. it got better, then worse, then better and Äiti thought it was something that would never shift - chlamydophila felis.  Stran also had calici and these viruses were common in Britain so we all have vaccinations religiously every year. Somehow Jura also developed runny eyes and he was tested, showing positive for chlamydophila. But it now turns out there is a much better medicine that can deal with it, and both Lewis and Jura are on this potion. And both of them are improving - Lewis is looking much more comfortable and Jura's eyes are sparkly again.  He did not want to look at the camera though.
And both are getting excellent at flicking the medicine over Äiti (it is liquid) and also Jura is expert at digging his claws in and producing scratches. Well, he needs the extra friction as he tries to leap away.

We know that medicines help us. So we hope Lewis cooperates.

And, for the record, this in NO WAY means that WE will be cooperative in medications either.

Look at that sweet Lewis! A snugglebunny, isn't he? We are sorry he's all 'spishus of Aiti now--well, he'll come around!

I'm not surprised you guys are a hard case to medicate! Binga is really difficult to pill - she hasn't needed eye drops, which is probably a good thing, although she does swallow down syringes of lactulose without too much complaint.

It's a cat rule that if you have medication, you have to fight it. I used to be good for my pills but then I read the rule book and now I fight against them.
