Literary Thursday

Today is the day we celebrate our national poet, by eating cakes named after him - runebergintorttu. Funny how humans need few excuses to eat.
Just like Seppo.
And if these runebergintorttua look odd, it's because they are. Äiti is into this 'raw food' stuff right now. So there was no sugar, nor flour, nor egg in them. And despite this Äiti rescued them from Sir Gobbleguts and ate them herself.

And in honour of our National Poet's Day, I invite Loyal Readers to compose poems. I think it is about time I had, as some monarchs do, a Poet Laureate. Here is my own humble attempt:

There once was a handsome mancat called Punapippuri
Whose visage was so very whiskery
His wisdom was great
He was regal and sedate
Until with girlcats he could get bitey and nippity!

My human has had raw food things that she say are very good - and these do look delicious! At least to her. I don't see any chicken or cantaloupe, so they might not appeal to me.
