Snowy and Sad Sunday

Oh how we wish that these sets  of pawprints could coincide. Then there would be feasting. We have once had the delight of tasting orava, squirrel, and the tail was most delightful too (Äiti still has it somewhere, hidden away until special playtimes).
'
But alas, orava keeps away. Here, before the snows, Pekka is patiently waiting. You can see the object of our drooling gripping on to the apple tree. If only he would leap.......
And we also have to report a very Big Sad: some Loyal Readers will remember the OK Cats Fuzzy and Zoe; Fuzzy went to the Bridge just over two years ago and we heard that Zoe joined her yesterday. She was only 8 years old, and had been running around acting normally and become ill overnight. The vet could not save her, and her Human is of course devastated. Their blog has not been active for a while but Äiti has stayed in touch. I confess I have a very sweet spot for Zoe - even though she was a girlcat - she was a magnificent ginger with a gorgeous tummy that reminded me of Stran so much. We engaged in lively banter over the innerwebs and I am proud to have known her.
Fly free Zoe: whatever happened, we are glad you did not suffer for long. But it still ain't fair.

We are so sad, too. Could you please convey our sympathies to the OK cats' Mom for us? Mommy enjoyed a few fun emails but has lost the addy. Life is indeed unfair at times.

You are gonna be sitting in the snow for a long time before that squirrel takes a suicide plunge into the Catio. Just sayin'.
