Autumnal Sunday

So our vegetable harvest is nearly over and Mesi is confused - why are these tomatoes still green?
Mirsku chews on some basil! Very strange.
Stran guards the kissanminttu. His palate is more feline than Paksu Poika's.
And we are all hoping to harvest a few feathers......
And as the darkness returns, so do our friends from the rainbow Bridge. On Friday night/Saturday morning they were waving their tails across the night skies. All is well, and the newcomers are dancing up there with the old timers. Too many friends have gone over to the Bridge since we last saw the northern lights, far too many for our liking but they are in good company.   Äiti was very pleased to see these old friends; she has never before seen such vivid red as on this shot.

how cool to see the northern lights. Mum says she hasn't seen them in over 40 years. Wishes she could see them again.

How wonderful to see our friends again, and know they still frolic in the heavens.

Mirsku, Sweet Pea eats basil, too! May Ling says she likes a mancat with fresh breffs...

How beautiful, and with the stars twinkling through. I am sure one of those is Eric looking down on us.

How absolutely exquisite! I can't imagine how wonderful it must have been to actually see such a gorgeous display. It was a sign from those who have gone before to those who remain behind letting us know their love goes on.

P.S. There is a recipe on Food.com for green tomato bread. Do have a look. The recipe gets great reviews for taste even though it sounds a bit iffy. And you can freeze it too! Of course you could always do a simple pickle job with them if you like that sort of thing.

That is a great shot of the Northern Lights, we were supposed to be able to see them the other night, but no luck.
