Tuesday Show Report

Now we were very lucky that none of us went to the POROK show. Sitting in a cage, being proded by strangers and our innate perfection judged - no thank you! We know Sampo and Seppo would have been quite relaxed there, but Äiti was happy to take photos of other felines. Here is Metti, Sampo's sister and Mesi's aunt. She was not fantastically happy to be there but behaved well nonetheless.
Burre, Sampo's brother and Mesi's father, behaved wonderfully. He is more chilled than our fine winter snow and an excellent representative of the Kissmollin line.  He won the judge's nomination for best in category both days. And remember this was little Burre who was the smallest of the litter.
Seppo's relatives were also around, representing the Tusti Cattery.  Guess which is the girlcat! Yup, Buccellatti is on the right. Now Chaumet - or Julle - on the left is only a few weeks older than Seppo but he weighs in at over 6kg. He won Best In Show - beating Burre. And he is also famous for his peemails: when being judged he did the bottom waggle dance and sprayed!
And here is a photo Äiti took of Arkiel, a British born burmese who is a stud for Arkhitekton, Kissmollin and Elwood (see how the name fits!). He is a big burmese boy and he was watching very carefully as the judge was checking him- 'Hey lady, mind the jewels!'  But he lost out to Burre in the placings.

This is Söpö, from the Elwood dynasty and she is likely to be Sampo's next ladycat. She is very sweet natured - so between the two of them the kittens should be burmese shaped with ragdoll temperaments!
Not that Sampo seems too concerned about having to perform some mancat duties soon. He has become a total lapcat with no shame about tummy tickles. So much for his huge tomcat cheeks filling out - he's still a great big softie.
But perhaps Pekka is softer. He is snoring under Sampo, deeply asleep. Now Äiti does provide enough surfaces for us all to sleep on, but Sampo preferred Pekka as a mattress.

Yeah, we SERIOUSLY prefer not to be handled and judged by STRANGERS!

I don't know how my dad did it, but he was a Grand Champion show cat! I'm impressed by all your gorgeous, award-winning relatives!

Those are some great kitteh pics, but you know we think all of you are much more handsome!

Mattress? Well, maybe, since Sampo doesn't seem to be conducting any "business". Ha ha meow! Those are some handsome kitties, King P, but we are with Mark's Mews--handled by strangers? I don't *THINK* so!

Sampo, Mesi and Seppo all have very good looking relatives.
It doesn't look as if Pekka minds being used as a mattress.
Did Aiti get the email mum sent the other day?

Sampo has helped Pekka get in touch with his inner kitten. Pekka looks blissful being snuggled by Sampo.
Sopo is absolutely beautiful! And a beautiful temperment is just as inportant as looks. Sampo and Sopo's kitties will be magnificent!
P.S. We're mad for those big tomcat faces!

P.S. Seppo's family are show cat gorgeous! ......but there is something about Seppo! He projects extraordinary charm and undoubtedly has a lions share of catrisma. And those facial expressions! His family may be winners in the ring but he's the winner of our hearts.
