Self-congratulatory Sunday

Yesterday was the final 'ticked off goal' on Äiti's list of Things to Achieve in her change of lifestyle. As you may remember she lost the combined weight (mass) of all of us felines from her blubbery body and now is a little thinner. She has also been worshipping regularly at the Temperature of Physical Punishment, aka the gym. When the snow and ice melted she hit the roads - literally. Yesterday she 'ran' 10km along with a bunch of colleagues, and helped raise some money for the new children's hospital in Helsinki in the Oulu Terwa Hölkkä (10km fun run).  She says she cannot resist a photo of herself as she feels so smug and elated and big-headed.
And the headband is actually a tie-dye creation from Cat Daddy Scott at the Katnip Lounge.
And our response to all this ? Well, she should run right over to our food bowls and fill them up! Just because she's lost weight doesn't mean we should too! And in the meantime, we need to conserve our energy.

Mowzers, it wears us out each time we see a human doing that "exercise" thingy! Nap time, all around!

Wow, a bit congratulations to your human for all of her hard work! And I bet it does make her able to move faster to get your food dishes out!

We sincerely hope that she has all the endurance required to tend to all your needs, 24/7/365, and not just for some silly jaunt along the pavement.

ConCATS to your Äiti! She looks great!

Great job! Congratulations Aiti! We are so proud of you! Being healthy and fit is something all of us kitties want for our beans. We always tell our mum that we were all orphans once and we don't want to be orphans again. Our Aiti is on the slim side but suffers from awful cholesterol.
We join your whole family in purring with pride over your accomplishments.
Do you feel the earth rumble?

Silly Humans running around when there's no mousies or birdies to chase! Still the Human says conga-rats to Aiti for being an Olympian!

hey PPP.

Hang in there. My servant has also the same disease as Äiti has. Stupid running and unnecessary moving all time. I have watching that 20 years. nothing has changed... So poor you.

Concats to Aiti! She looks great in the photo and me and mum would never have recognised her as the same person that we saw when the catio cam started. She has every right to feel "smug and elated and big-headed".

Quite right, Puna-Chan, quite right!

But an impressive achievement nonetheless. With her gammy knees, our #1 is barely able to walk, never mind run…
