Mousewatch Monday

We have so far had a warm winter - well for Finland (North). When the snow comes the place is brighter, and we want to go out more than when it is dark and wet. Also, we know that the mice come to hide in the pile of branches Äiti helpfully left for them in front of the catio. I am too busy watching for mousies to pay any attention to Äiti telling me to come inside.
Mirsku better not disturb my concentration. Luckily he can walk very quietly through the snow.
Unfortunately we were unsuccessful and when we heard the treat cupboard opening we decided to come inside to join the hungry, non-hunting masses!

A treat in the hand is worth two mice in a bush... or pile of branches!

It is much easier to get treats than it is mousies at this time of the year. I sit on the hedge outside the window every day waiting for Mr Mousie but I think he must be sleeping. His time will come!

A treat cupboard is a wonderful thing!

Why mess with the cold outside when the human hands out treats? Those mousies don't like cold weather, either!

It's hard to find mice in winter, and even more in the snow ! Treats are less fun but more easier at this season. Purrs

Makes sense to us, treats are guaranteed, those mice are much harder to catch!
