Sunday Sphynx Surprise

As promised , loyal readers, another post with more details. I do not trust Äiti, so I shall be typing it.
Now, to be honest, I had been aware of secret emails she had been hiding from me. I had been aware of serious discussions and much pondering. But I had remained blissfully ignorant - perhaps because the idea of a new #13 appearing was just something I was not wanting to consider. I should heva realised when me blog got hijacked by that blue-eyed baldy Äiti cat sat, that something was wrong. her had had been stolen by the sphynx breed. Äiti spent a few years working at a cat rescue in Bristol, hating the idea of breeding cats when so many moggies desperately needed good homes, and now we have three burmese and this, this, mutant! But we already quite like him, and Äiti went nearly to the end of Finland to get him.  Yes, Äiti knows about breeding and health problems, and she knows this is perhaps selfish but we are all friends here and will welcome him with open paws, and a few hisses. And try to get over the fact he's a nekkid little alien.
I am proud to say I was the first to say hello, under the bed.
And of course I had to sniff. My goodness, loyal readers, you are going to have a big shock with his 'tock shots. I cannot warn you sufficiently.
And of course Stran  was doing his usual stuff!
Seppo, who was Diesel at his breeders', Tutsi Sphynx Cattery,  was born on June 16th.  he's a black boy, from Russian stock.  He will be much loved as a pet. Äiti had very many ideas for names, but when she met him and saw how playful he was, she though Sampo and Seppo would make a good team. Sampo right now is a little hissy but somehow I think we shall soon have double trouble.
Äiti is delighted. Now she has to convince us as we are going to go on a major sulk for the next week, with lots of ignoring her until feeding time.  But actually, so far, he's quite fun!
I can't believe I just admitted that. Loyal readers, what is happening!?

Tee Hee...... Well, of course, we are all pure-breds here and our philosophy is that we too need to be loved, and we often need rescuing from breeders who think of nothing but winning competitions just as much as homeless moggies.

What can I say? Sphynx kitties are a very special breed and many hear their call. My human has managed to stand firm and not bring one home (she says they are a bit too high maintenance for her careless ways), but she says that their skin feels like chamois and they are lovely, affectionate cats.

You all realize that Seppo will be a heat-seeking snuggler, correct? And that some of you have long furs--do the math!

Holy cats, is he gonna LOVE the sauna!

Good luck in your new, wonderful family, Seppo! Or - as you are such a fine pedigree cat- should we say Zeppo?
PP, almost the same has happened in our family! Me and Oliver have a new family member, Verónica. She's a rescue kitten (of course, knowing Auntie) from Siikajoki. She was born at about the same time as Seppo, around midsummer. Today, she escaped for the first time, biting Auntie in her little finger to get free. Returned after 2 hours, luckily.
Have a nice time with your new furless friend, PP! Wishes Riffa

Hmmm. Well. We guess he *is* sort of cute in his way (his little tail curls up so sweetly in that fourth picture. He still looks quite small (in the first picture UTB with you), though we suppose if he had furs floofing out every which way like we do, he'd look bigger. The Human would love to get her grabby hands all over him and see what he feels like--she's never seen or held a real Sphinx before. Hmmmmm. We'll have to wait and see about him before we decide on the cute factor, I think. But of COURSE he deserves a good home!

We are glad you and Seppo are friends already. The human loves bald kitties. I hope she doesn't get any ideas...
