Sunday Showing Off

Firstly I wish to thank all Loyal Readers for continuing to follow me in my week of the Appalling Great Abandonment. I was not able to comment or visit other blogs and for this I am deeply resentful. I also have a festering grudge and strop because yesterday Äiti left us again! Well, she left most of us: one little golden eyed boy went out the door with her. Pikku prinssi Sampo went to the POROK cat show. Pöh. Äiti left us again! Oh I am so less than impressed. And Sampo was with her, showing off his chamrs and getting cuddles and attention from everyone. He was a total tart.
Here he poses by pink flowers for his judge.
But he was in competition with his brother Sky (on the right) and two others!  This was the first time the brothers had met since leaving their birth place.
Now it would not be good to reveal what the judgement was as it could split the brotherly love, commiserations to Sky though. Sampo proudly sniffs his rosette.
And later he chills out. Äiti has said she will never take any of us to shows if it stresses us and she was really worried about Sampo, and how he would cope. Well, he was just fine as perhaps you can see.
However his brother Burre was under more pressure. He was the local newspaper's pin up! Now I am not bitter that I slave away with my blog for many  years and suddenly in one day Burre is a huge media star with a half page colour picture in our fine Finnish papers, and several pictures on its website. No, good luck to him - he has struck lucky with fame. Others of us are more modest and humble and do not need to be centre folds.
Now, Kissmollin did very well at the show with the breeder getting Best in Show for the category, and Metti was Best in Show. Annabella is now Grand International Champion CACGIB.

WHAT? WHAT????

Now, see, here I was smiling upon the little Prinssi and feeling all expansive and generous and happy.

But THEN, there's my dear sweet Nellie to put me in a strop. Pöh, Pöh, and Pöh!!!

We suspect that this new abandonment by Aiti is temporay and you may want to worry more about yer cat siblings... We have seem this happen before here. They come back. But sometimes without some private personal stuffs...

Don't worry, Punapippuri, Burre does not probably have a blog at all, YOU DO! About 10 people saw him in the paper, YOU get attention of hundreds every day! You are the media king!

Concatulations to Sampo for getting his first rosette! I would not worry too much about Burre's publicity, Puna - this kind of attention is fleeting for show kitties, and as a blogger you are in it for the long haul and will leave a much more impressive legacy.

Many congratulations to Kissmollin on such a successful day! And of course to little Samp for doing all of you proud.

So, is Äiti staying put now?

Hi. I came over here cos you said something about being better looking than Spitty and I'm always on the lookout for some new hunks, er furrends. Hmmm, what I see is not bad …

Sampo was fantastic, and so were Burre, Sky and Metti :-)

Actually, Burre is keeping a blog, but of course it os not as famous as Punapippuri 's. PPB will always be the top blog of cat fancy!

Concatulations, beautiful boy! We're so pleased you've won your fiirst ribbon. It will be the first of many, we're sure. You certainly don't seem stressed....at all! Some kitties just like attention; we've got a couple of those in our family.
Our mum was always a big fan of your litter mate, Fanu. Might you tell us how he is doing?

Aw, he looks sooooo stressed... MOL! Congratulations to Sampo!
But really, you have no need to be concerned, that sleek little kitten can't hold a candle to your gorgeous floofiness!

Well done kitteh!! I have always wanted to have a feline that would be relaxed enough for cat shows, but so far...it's not in the cards.
