Now we don't do much gardening stuff - a bit of fertilising and watering, and chewing kitty grass but there's a new addition to the Kingdom - a bonsai tree! Äiti was given this by a grateful student who clearly has a sense of humour like Äiti's: she just laughed when Äiti asked how on earth she could keep the tree alive with twelve cats. Hehehe.
Well, Äiti's solution so far - put it in a cage. Oh so attractive. Functional, but not decorative.
But we will be able to trim it if its leaves poke out. Result - bonsai gets cared for, we get entertained! Now if anyone has any tips or suggestions, please do make them. Äiti has no idea how to look after a bonsai tree and we would like to advise her.......

The tree is in a cage? Hehehe... Is it a 'bird' tree?
Purrs,
Nissy
Hmmm, to keep it out of your reaches...
She could hang it from the ceiling...
Ha ha ha! Who's having the snack there?
I have nothing for you - between her black thumb and our penchant for plant destruction, my human has given up having anything living and green in the house.
If I was a betting cat, (I'm not) I would put my money on the cats! MOL!
Pee Ess - the Mommy says, "Good Luck!"
Hanging flower pot?
Paljon vettä ja kissat näköjään hoitavat sen leikkauksen!
Having never had a bonsai tree here. we are unfortunately unable to offer any tips. But we look forward to following the progress of yours!
Purrs,
The Chans
I am watching you again and Aiti has just come out and picked up the Bonsai tree. My mum had one but she killed it. She thinks she over watered it.
I saw a ninja on the skywalk and I think it is Aila in the chair and maybe Pekka who was walking around. Am I right?
It's a great idea.
Maybe there is a Bonsai Tree Society in your town that can assist you in learning about it's care and feeding. The little tree will provide much enjoyment during your long, cold winters, we think. We love the little trees and know they can grow to be quite old. Speaking about old, how is our dear Tessie doing?
I've never had a bonsai but an internet search revealed lots of information for Aiti to read.
Doesn't look like Aiti will need to trim the bonsai too much. I think the felines will keep it pruned back...in some fashion :)
