Sunny day slurping

Loyal readers, it has been HOT! It has been sweltering and we have been laying out in the sun, and then retreating to the shade. Äiti has allowed us to have the back door open, provided she can see pikku prinssi. He has not tried to escape, so we are all pleased. Yes, even me. Look at this for evidence: who would have thought that the young Sampo squab and I would get along?!
He has a little eye infection right now so I am making sure his hygiene is good, by washing behind his ears.
Tomorrow our great Abandonment starts.  We have a good cat-sitter and hopefully Kisu and Reetu's human will come to play with us. Sampo will be getting eye ointment too, and we have lots of tasty food. None of this makes up for the huge betrayal of abandonment of course.
In the meantime, Äiti has taken loads of sunny photos to ensure daily blog posting. But there will be no catio access so my apologies to catiocam watchers.Pöh.

Why do humans think they can just leave like that? Like you said, Pöh!

Wow, young Sampo is really growing! (handsome boy)

You kittehz need to host a major house-trashing pawty or at the very least, all of you should save up your hairballs for Aiti's return! MOL!

We are sorry to hear that you are being abandoned but wish your Äiti a safe and good journey, and young Samp clear eyes.

The softest spot in the world is the little area behind cat's ears...

Everybody knows that you get clean eyes by washing ears!

Mommy was just thinking of Tessie yesterday--the tortoises here are out and about again, too.

You are a very good big brother to little Sampo. His ears must be spotless.

Everything was fine, and everycat was extremely welcoming. We stayed outdoors for a while, and played with the string toys, and there might have been some yummy snacks involved. See you tomorrow, kitties!

Sincerely,

Kisu´s and Reetu´s human.
