Remembering Rilli-ukko

A year ago our beloved Rilli-ukko left for the Bridge.
We miss him, our grumpy wise old mancat.
He was Äiti's shadow. He was Ruska's best buddy.
We were so very lucky to have him in perheeni, even for a short time. And last Friday Äiti knew all was well as there were wonderful revontulet. Look at this dancing row of waving tails of all Those Who Have Gone Before.
Rilli's tail is the one with the whitest tip!

He is verreh handsome indeed, although he does perhaps look the eensiest bit grumpy. This is a good thing, since those perfectly behaved, always-sweet-and-loving kitties are a little suspect, in my not-so-very-humble opinion. I would like to have known him. I am sure he and Tuomo are knocking back an olut or two at the Bridge and swishing their tails with Manly enthusiasm.

What a wonderful tribute for your handsome boy. It seems just a short time ago... We think the Ones Who Went Before are surely dancing in the sky!

We never stop missing the dear ones that have already gone. But it is a pleasure to have met them and shared life with them even for a brief moment.
Wonderful lights! I have only seen them twice here in the south.
