Mini-Mancat Monday

Today Sampo from Kissmollin is five weeks old. That means in seven weeks he will be coming to join perheeni.  Loyal readers, I have mixed feelings about this. I would dearly love a young kitten who looks up to me and to whom I can be a good role model, because he would honour and appreciate me. But I dread a whirling little ninjalet who will rip across perheeni like a meteorite, leaving a shock wave of destruction. I know I can safely delegate all playing duties to Stran-veli who just goes soft at the sight of kittens, and I hope that my mancat buddies will ensure that the little squab doesn't step out of line. Also I shall rely on Jura-eno and Jaava-täti to wield a firm paw of family discipline.
In the meantime we are being introduced to the young whelp through Äiti's clothes. All kittens adore Äiti's stinky socks. It's just a fact of life she cannot explain.
He is growing in confidence, simply washing his paw while having a tummy tickle.
It is good that he is snorgling his sister - he already is showing girlcats he is boss. This I like.
And here he tries to catch a mighty mouse, half his size. He is already a fearless hunter.
And a shameless tart. That tummy is incredible. But not as incredible as mine was at his age, I hasten to add.
He has a certainly has a look about him. He is a very confident young kitten.
And he already has many humans Under His Paw.
But how do you think he will fit in with us.....?

We think Sampo will be a wonderful addition to the family...Mommy was completely undone by that little tummy. Seriously, she had a surge of maternalness that took her by surprise. *smooch*

Sampo sure is a cute kitten. Look at the round tummy! I think his arrival will change things for your family, but for sure the ninjalets will boss him around and keep him in line.

He's pretty cute, but a little. . .nekkid, King P. His lil tum needs some furs!!

You might as well make the best of it, Buddy, cause I think it's a done dealio.

Take a good look at the 6th photo, King Punappipuri. He is going to teach you a lesson ( or two).

Hey PPP!

Sampo looks fine and cute. Okay he can't replaced Rilli or Tuomo, but now you have good opportunity to educate him how to be real northern cat. And let him know, that King Is King.

That tummy! Sampo has completely undone our mum with his delicious kitty tummy! Who is going to pet us while the woman slobbers over a baby kitty's photo!
He is getting more adorable by the day, we must admit....

Oh, P.S. Did your mum give Sampo his name or was it given to him at birth or both? We we looked up Sampo, we came up with something called the Sampo. In Finnish mythology, it says the Sampo was a magical artifact of indeterminate type that brought good fortune to it's holder. Quite an auspicious name!
