Red Laser Day

Saturdays are play days. In the evening we usually have string games and treats, and the red dot often appears. Ruska is the main dot chaser, but he is closely watched by Jura-ninja.
However Ruska is a big black panther, so the burmese butterball keeps a respectful distance. This is unusual: usually the ninjas show little respect!
Ruska is pretty good at catching the dot.
Jaava and Harris are watching too, trying to get a turn.
But no one will mess with Ruska's mighty paw.

And now we have an update from Kissmollin Cattery, where Jaava and Jura's little nieces and nephews are growing fast. Sadly, one little kitten was not meant for this world and now there are 6 of them. Mother Isabelle is doing very well - they are still teeny tiny so all paws are still crossed for them.
Äiti is visiting often. She is taking many photos and trying to catch their most cute moments. This little girl was asleep with her tongue poking out.
Now we know that these innocent little bundles will soon be rubbery ninjalets. Äiti cannot wait. I can......

Kitties, kitties, kitties...Really? You still fall for that damnable tool of Hell, that red demon dot? The dot-spawn of Satan Himself? I am disappointed in you, my furiends. The only thing that gives me Hope is that I don't spy King P there; surely he has the sense to lead His Subjects out of dot-obsession into the promised land of balls and strings.

That Isabelle is a beauty but those little Ninjalets indeed pose a very real threat to your Kingdom, King P. I think it's crunch time: Who's the REAL Monarch of Finland(N)?

I hate the Red Dot because it is the Foe That Cannot Be Killed.

Luckily my human is addicted to the Somali breed ONLY, so all these cute baby Burmese photos are having no effect on her whatsoever. Right? RIGHT?

The very loud noise you hear is our Mom squeeeing over those kittens!!!

The elusive red dot. We soon gave up on ours and won't play with it anymore. If it doesn't dispense treats, nip, or scritches, we have no use for it!

Sounds like Aitia might have a touch of "ninja fever". Best to nip it in the bud! MOL!

We've gotten wise to that red dot. Brulee still falls for it some, but we don't chase it near as much as we used to.

Yow, I wouldn't mess with that furry house panther either!
Those babies, aw so cute!

So sad to hear about the little kitten who didn't make it...

One of my previous cats figured out I was responsible for the red dot and quit chasing it. Sometimes they are too smart!

We did not know that Ruska was as big as Mirsku!! (Or is he bigger?)

There is something very special about tiny kitten toes. They look like tiny little pearls...

Tama is our great laser dot chaser here, and she would love nothing more than to be locked in the back room for hours with #1 and the toy!

We got a little more snow last night and fearless Genji was out in it again!

We couldn't agree with Spitty more about that Damned Red Dot! We refuse to play with it. Except maybe CC, bless his heart...he's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

The Spitman sent me hear to see if you guys could catch the laser better than I can. I have the moves.

Kiva että tykkäätte siitä punaisesta. Minullakin on mutta en välitä moisesta. Mamma on sijaismamma myös nyt kahdelle kodittomalle ja niille kissoille se kelpaa. Komeita kuvia teistä!

We have nothing but scorn for the red demon dot. After weeks of antagonising us we suddenly realised we could spoil mum's fun by watching the strange little tube that the dot escapes from.

Mum is going all squee on us with the kittens. Glad they are far away, or mum might want one.

Sadly, it no longer works =)
