Monday magnificence

Our snow returned yesterday, so we bravely strode across it. The first out was Pekka-poika.
But I was not far behind. I have much to check, when my kingdom is under a blanket of white stuff. My tail was fluffed in readiness.
And while Mirsku and Pekka poika were wondering whether to have a roll around i nthe snow, the ninjas were in the doorway, wondering if they dare step out.
And of course they did! They may be nearly naked, but that does not stop them. Jura-ninja waits for someone to pounce on.
And Jaava-ninja stops for a girlcat wash. Careful where you put your tongue - it will freeze to anything outside already!
And then of course Mirsku was waiting to pounce on Pekka-poika.  The snow makes us playful - until we realise just how cold it is!
And we thank you for your kind words yesterday. Äiti does have lights to help her - in fact she has a wonderful little Finnish invention where the lights go in your ears (we call it her iSAD). We expect this evil Black Dog to stay a while, but will be patient and helpful. Äiti says we are very important in helping her as we are definitely the ones who make her get out of bed in the morning, and she apologises for her lack of blog commenting.
However she has finally got round to sorting the winners of the caption competition. Hurrah! Here is the picture of Jaava and Pekka doing heaven knows what, which we wanted a witticism for:
Our winners are Zepa with: This is how Ninjas do Rumba! Ba-ba-ba-rum-ba!'  and Sparkle with "No, no, NO! U R doing the Hokey Pokey all wrong!"
So if you will kindly email me your snail mail addresses we shall ensure a genuine Magic Fishie is in the  post to you. My addy is pikkupunapippuri (at) gmail (dot) com.
We did love all the entries, and honorable mention goes to John Priddey who composed a whole song - and we know all about the ninjas and their little bit frightening kung fu! But Äiti pointed put it contained some spelling mistakes, which must be down to the poor quality of teaching at your old school, hehehehe.  Where Äiti taught, so maybe it's all her fault.

That snow does look on the chilly side. We had some snow here for which the peep was NOT prepared. Then it got super-duper cold. But today was mild and stuff is melting. Hopefully the peep will get her lilies into the garage tomorrow now that the snow is gone. It will be back, I am sure, but maybe next time the peep will be ready for it! purrs

We love your beautiful bright, white world. Surely a few romps around the catio and several trips to poo corner will take care of that whiteness. Heh-heh.

That picture of Jura-Ninja should be on the cover of National Geographic: "The fierce lion watches the foolishly slow gazelle."

Concats to Zepa and Sparkle. But do tell them to watch out for those fish. They're armed and dangerous.

Beautiful snow and most excellent captions. #1 tells us that, in Normandy, they have pouring rain and lots of muddy dogs...

We hope your Äiti will be able to send that black dog where it came from very soon.

Purrs,
The Chans

Especially love that photo of Jura. :-)

Gees, our human is dumb, she thought by black dog you meant you were babysitting a woofie!

Well, our human's been cosy with depression for most of her life, so please tell Aiti to take good care of herself. And get to emerg if she starts wanting to do something drastic, please. There's so much help available today, stigma be d*mned.

Sending universal Light and purrs.

Alas, I must admit my song was heavily plagiarised from Carl Douglas' 'Kung Fu Fighting'. Credit for all of the spelling mistakes must remain with lyricsfreak.com though! :P

We would like to try some snow, however Mommy says it's not likely to fall here...may we come over? Surely Äiti won't notice an extra 13 cats. Or the Black Dog, she'll be so busy!
