Thursday from the garden

Now, loyal readers, you will know that Äiti is not much of a gardener so we do not participate in horticultural Thursdays often, but today perhaps is a good opportunity to share the fruits of our labours. We harvested the kissanminttu a couple of months ago, and it was hidden away to dry. Äiti then stuffed it into this cushion cover, which says 'catnip hangover' on it and has a picture of an incapacitated ginger mancat on it. Whatever can she be meaning by this?
Well, Ia couple of such handsome mancats were first over to investigate.
I was busy inhaling the delightful aroma when I am rudely interrupted by a sneaky girlcat. Just observe this prime example of sneakiness.
She is dragging the cushion towards her. Right from under my tongue.
And look - she's now sat on it! And no one is going to shift those thunder thighs. Now do you understand why sometimes, perhaps, I am maybe a little critical of girlcats?
AIla-sisko gets bored with hogging the cushion and Harris-veli comes along for a sniff.
Tuomo-veli can't stand for that so gentle Harris slinks away. I look on in disapproval.
Tuomo knows Äiti is watching so this is only a paw, not a claw, poke. And behold, another sneaky girlcat appears.
But Tuomo-veli cannot be moved, and he stayed there a while.
Until it was rightfully reclaimed by a ginger mancat. By that time it needed a good wash and Stran was only too happy to oblige.
And he gave himself a wash for good measure.

Looks like a great Nip Pillow! We are glad many of you shared it...

What a good idea. Aiti is full of great ones, our Mom, not so much. Looks like everyone enjoyed the nipfest and Mom enjoyed Stran's ginger legs stretched out like a couple of drumsticks. XOXO

Wow, that cushion certainly is seeing lots of action!

Wow! That was an exciting story! The Human is pleased to note she is actually beginning to learn a bit about your fur sibs and some of their purrsonalities. It took her about two years to learn all the Katnip Lounge kids, so she has a way to go, but now she knows you (of course!), Stran-veli, Tuomo-veli, the Ninjas (though she still confuses them), Ruska and sometimes Mirsku and Pekka-Poika. We're working on it. Hope you got more treats than tricks on Halloween!

What a lot of action for a small(ish) cushion! Stran is such a gorgeous sight, exactly the ginger cat on the cushion.

did you give Mom a dirty look for not making a homemade, organic, artisan cat nip pillow for each and everyone of you? cuz that seems to be the biggest problem. i fink she needs to get bizy.

What a great way for the cats to roll in nip without the mess!

Actually, we thought that AIla-sisko was rather clever in her approach. Strategic, you know?

Maybe Harris and Lewis might have their very own nip pillows?
We agree with the Poupounette gang: Good going, Aila!

I vote for Stran for making the best use of the pillow. All stretched out, licking it.

That is a lovely big nippy cushion to relax on and inhale. I am lucky, Eric is not interested in nip, so I get it all to myself.

The obvious question is: why only ONE cushion??? Äiti is deficient.
