Melting Monday

A week or so ago, our world turned white. SInce then the temperatures have risen and the white stuff has been disappearing.
Äiti  did some clearing, so that the catio is ready for winter. This work was inspected and she has been informed of improvements for next year.
Since the snow melted we have had rain, so Äiti has prevented 24hour catio access as there's a lot of mud. She does not want mud from Poo Corner being brought in to the house 8how fussy is that?). Stran-veli in particular is in the habit of running around triumphantly after a satisfying trip to Poo Corner. The rest of us like a quick run over the wet grass - especially the ninjas.
And yesterday morning there was a little more snow. It had melted by lunch time.
And, loyal readers, I hope you will join me in great horror at our meagre catio lights this year. What are these paltry offerings? Last year we had a beautiful curtain which was three times as big. Okay, the ninjas chewed it a bit, but it was magnificent. This is simply pathetic. Äiti has admitted she cannot find last year's lights (put somewhere 'safe'!), and she is too mean to buy better ones. This is intolerable - a King must have his winter facilities illuminated. Okay, we will have candles and revontulet, but they will not be nearly enough. Pah!

Good Lord. Holy COD. The neighbors will prolly be talking!! It's a good thing you can see in the dark.

And what's wrong with footprints? They're ART!

What! Your human does not like mud tracked into the house? Is that not one of their chores? How about mats?
And not enough lights? As KING measures should be taken,

We're lucky (or unlucky) to not get snow but once a year and then it melts by the afternoon.

They **are** a little, well, thin on the ground, so to speak. Perhaps she could devote some serious effort to FINDING YOUR LIGHTS. I mean, c'mon: Are you KING or are you KING? Surely you can command your staff!

*I* have commanded MY staff that the subject of a "roommate" is closed, at least until next summer. The King needs to pace his castle in solitary splendor for at least the rest of the school year.

It looks like there is still work to be done on the catio! Make sure your human gets down to it!

Puna-Chan, in one of tohse photos, you appear to have acquired a Ninja those!

It seems that you need to start looking for those lights yourselves...

We're laughing at Aiti's not remembering where she put the lights, as our human has a tendency to tuck things away safely...then not remember, either.

We hope your catio dries out soon, so you get more outdoor time!

You mean Aiti doesn't leave the lights up year round?

Your Aiti will find those lights when she is not looking for them.

Ahh. The "poop run." That's what the lady calls it. She can't figure out if I'm relieved or just running away from my poop ("that's not mine").

Now, your human should gather NEW lights and drape them artistically and immediatley to delinieate your Kingly abode...your Royal Residence. Tell her you insist upon it; that you are not wishing to be seen as a King without proper glamor and decorum surrounding him and his Kingdom.

What is wrong with muddy paw prints? Our mum loves them. She says "Oh look what you have done!"
