Thursday Tweaking

We have all been most confident and happy since our tasty feast, and I have been making sure I scratch and mark wherever I can so that the whole world knows what a mighty hunter I am. Äiti says I am totally full of myself - and why not?!
Now one of the reasons we were able to achieve this great prize is that we have constant catio access. A couple of years ago when Äiti invented the tuulikaappi, the little tunnel that lets us in and out, she placed a plastic Diabolical Flap at the outside end. After one winter it broke, as Äiti wasn't very good at building. Then we had a naked exit, as modelled by Aila-sisko.
This has led to indoors being a bit cooler than we would like, and access has been restricted as the temperature drops. This year Äiti decided that she wants us to have access to the catio (and Poo Corner) for longer so she came up with a thicker fabric curtain, as peeped around here by Pekka-poika.
The upstairs balcony has the same,  so we are hoping that we can be outside on night patrol.  We learnt very quickly how the curtain works, which is good because the Diabolical Flap had a mind of its own and didn't like me. Now our soft curtain fully understands that I am boss and moves quickly aside as I shoot outside to check for rodents. Coming inside is easy too, unless there's a sneaky girlcat waiting. Here Jaava-ninja wants to surprise Pekka.

Good evening, or perhaps it is morning there--we are easily confused by time. Isn't it always just "Now"?

So, has the Squirrel Army of Fierce Vengeance arrived yet? I hear their numbers have swelled to more than 1000! Think of all those angry little teefs! And the clawed feets! I surely do hope they do not find one of you alone on the Catio....or, worse, the poorly-guarded tunnel entrance! Eek--perish the thought! Why, they might swarm you in your very beddies! I hear they don't care for pink though. Best prepare!

Sneaky girlcats can be tricky! The new flap sounds good, it is important to be able to go out hunting whenever the urge arises, well done Äiti.
Happy Animal Day to you all!

Your sister, Aila, is quite a beautiful model!
Our mum wants us to have access to the screened patio we have so she leaves the door open a bit and cranks up the air conditioner. We love to come in an out at will but our mum sees green papers with wings flying out the door.
