Friday Feasting

Our favourite day, and today is extra special. Next week Äiti has a holiday, so will be serving our every need for many consecutive days. This is most excellent so today I shall be snoozing deeply, sound in the knowledge we will have a good week!
And we have been feasting. Äiti was given some exotic foods. Here we have some strutsi, ostrich! Äiti says she'll try anything to get me to eat more. We like the package as it has a beautiful cat like the wonderful Sparkle on it.
So, I obliged with a few mouthfuls. But it was only a few.
And then the girlcats invaded. Please notice Äiti provided extra bowls as she knew that Aila-sisko and Jaava-ninja would appear and try to disturb me from my tastings.
But no, the strutsi was not a hit with me. However Stran-veli pigged it down so it was not wasted.

There must be something out their that would tickle your taste-buds! Do you think warming the food a bit might make it more appealing? I mean, not too much, just a little zap to make it "not cold." The lady used to work in a vet's office and sometimes heating up the food would help the kitties with a lack of appetite.

Humans use Somalis a lot as models because of our supermodel beauty! My human started noticing that when she brought me home. It's too bad the ostrich did not appeal to you - I think it sounds yummy! But then, I probably would have shunned it in the end too.

Ostrich? Now that's exotic! I wonder if my picky eaters would try it or leave it sit like they do with duck..

Oh Stran, Rumblemum says she'd SHOWER you with ostrich! (I assume she means the packaged food and not actual ostriches. That would not be pleasant.)

If you take a look and find something you might like from our part of the world, just let us know. Mum will send it along.
Have you tried baby food? Mum gets our brother Gerber 2nd stage Chicken and gravy. It is the consistency of pudding and has a pretty high caloric payload (100 cals.) for an itty bitty jar. Very easy to eat for kitties that prefer to lick their food.

Most interesting. Just today, #1 was looking at those on the zooplus site and wondering whether we might like them. Ah well, perhaps not.
