I received a special delivery. Jura-ninja brought me a shrew. Now these are not so very tasty but they are good fun to play with. It was already dead and cat's honour code cannot allow me to reveal the hunter: but there were many proud tails in perheeni. One of us had Tamed the Shrew (all credit to Prancer Pie for that line, hehehe).
Pekka-poika pretended it was alive as he flicked it around and pounced.
Jura carried it gently around.
And defended it from Pekka.
He took it away but only to find Äiti removed it permanently.
Miserable spoil sport!

She probably ate it herself. Spitty R
Aiti probably "shrew" it out! Hee-hee.
None of the cats ate it?
Hope not! They tend to come "in return" quickly. They taste really bad those shrews. Mousies are a lot better eating
Little pleasures of life? :)
Do the shrews really truly taste bad? Interesting. We have them too but not except in wooded areas or other not urban places. xox

I just learned something! I didn't think there was such a thing as a shrew. I thought it was like a snipe or something.
Thanks for the taste tip. I'd hate to spoil the taste of my salmon, should I ever happen upon a shrew!
; ) Katie
Yes, they really taste bad, most cats do not eat them. They are not even mousies thou they look like them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Short-tailed_Shrew
