Sleepy Sunday

Our magnificent black panther Ruska was limping yesterday. He had a paw injury. Cat's honour code prevents us from saying who bit him, but Äiti was unimpressed.
Now Ruska doesn't like ystävämme eläinlääkäri. Not at all. They have some history. This is a shame because actually most of the rest of us quite like her as she always makes a fuss of us and gives us treats. So he had to be sedated a little before she could look at his paw and check all was well. So Ruska spent the days sleeping it all off. Äiti refused to take pictures as she says he needs to retain his dignity on the blog, but she gave him a really thorough grooming. She was delighted to report that all his fur was smooth and untangled, and there was only one tiny clump around his bottom. Not bad for such a lion after a summer.

I hope Your Majesty will set your minions to investigate this paw-biting incident--unless, of course, it might have been ::shhhhhh:: HRH that took a royal nip out of that floofy pawsie?

What a handsome fella you are, Ruska. I would advise allowing pictures to be taken, and appearing on the blgo more often.

We are glad to hear your paw is nothing serious. The spa treatment, too? Your fur looks a lot like Jenna's. She won't stand still long enough for brushing, but her fur doesn't mat up. I think I'd return that bitey :)

Poor Ruska, our darling panther! Hope you are feeling better: you know you are in our prayers. Bites are nasty things, you know. You deserve lots iof pampering and loads of treats. We know your Aiti will give your paw one of her special "mum" kisses to speed the healing. We love you, dear.

Poor Ruska. :( We think it's honorable that you won't rat out the biter, but we do hope that you dealt with this lawbreaking within your own kitty code so that the offender will not hurt anyone else. And we understand about the sedation needed. Fuzzy is the gentlest of cats, but even she will not allow the vet to do too much. She is having a surgery next week to remove a tumor from her side, and while she's knocked out, they'll take care of the other items she would not permit during her exam (anal gland expressing, clippy claws, and dental cleaning, which would require sedation anyway). We hope you all have a good week, and we hope Ruska gets extra treats.

We hope Ruska's paw heals well and he enjoyed his extended sleep with dreams of pampering.
