There has been so much going on, it is hard to know where to begin. When Äiti goes to Ruotsi we are abandoned for a day, This is Not Good. I had little sulk on the stairs.
But when she comes back, we know there is usually good stuff for us. Like boxes.
And mats. They are meant for the floor but she puts them on the walls. This house would not win a prize in a posh decor magazine, but it's tops for us. She began taking the old mat off the wall as it was not so good to climb and scratch anymore as it has been well used. We didn't let her throw it away - we immediately claimed it. And she put a new one up. And of course I was there first. it felt so good to snag my claws on it.
And of course I had a little climb. Yes, the standard is fine - it can stay.
And then she began doing stuff on the kitchen table. Which of course means we have to do stuff on her stuff. Stran-veli came to supervise, and to see if there was any food. His appetite is Very Healthy and he is doing great right now. He's not so happy about the pattern of the cloth though.
Äiti of course was making a Stran-dunk (or two). One is up on the catio. It's great! Here it passes the Mirsku weight test. But the main occupant has been a little ninja girlcat. I don't like this one so much - Äiti has been lazy and not cut the mat to size as 'it would fray'. Pah - lazy woman.
We also got some little food bowls which needed testing (Äiti wanted Stran to have some extra chomps). Of course Jaava appeared.
Aila-sisko asserted herself over Jaava. Girlcat stuff, but the eldest must have respect. It worked, Aila got to eat more. Jaava slunk off.
And Stran-veli waited patiently for Aila to eat! It is very strange - he is the boss and sorts us all out, but when it comes to food etiquette, Aila gets the first dibs. He always waits for her. Usually we have many bowls so this is no problem, but Äiti finds it fascinating. I just think Aila is a greedy porker and Stran a gentleman.

Mats on the wall? And you GET to scratch them? Ever neat! You guys hit the jackpot with that last haul, I think. All that great stuff... plus boxes! WOW! If I can figure out how, I'm coming over to your place to play. purrs
I too LOVE the idea of mats on the wall! I wish my human would do that.
Wow! You get mats and such on the wall? I can't tell you how jealous I am!
You cats have a lovely house - and you are the treasures that make it special.
We like your mat. We want one!
Stran is obviously a gentleman cat. He won our hearts the moment we first saw him! We noticed the mats on the wall the other day and must say what a great accessory they make! Our Mom will be using many of these ideas fur our new home. Thank you! Happy Wednesday, furriends.

We love the mats on the wall. Really, we need your Aiti to come to our house and help our human with her "decor."
And we do think Stran is quite the gentleman. :-)
OH what a great idea! The mats on the walls are a perfect idea! *looks over shoulder...MOM! Did you see this?*
Stran is my idea of an all around great mancat. I have the greatest respect for him. xox
Wow a mat to climb up. Your mum is so good to you. I just love to see how Stran is such a gentleman with the ladies. Thats special.. Hugs GJ xx
Stran is the most wonderful boy. Beautiful outside and beautiful personality. His cat-risma is undeniable ! He's one of those kitties mum has on her "would live to cuddle" list. He is so sweet with Aila and the little ninja. We're glad to see Aila! She is a fascinating cat. And thanks for letting us know Stran feels fine. We were a bit worried about his heart when he was on the super-nip.
PS. Nails, screws or Velcro for attaching the mat to the wall?
Your Aiti is creativity personified.
