Tuesday telling tales

On Sunday Äiti was pretending to study Finnish, when in fact she was doing stuff for us.  But we won't tell on her. We would never grass on her! She harvested the first leaves from our kissanminttu crop. This is a big leafed variety, advertised as driving cats wild. Mirsku was first to the leaves.
He slammed his paw down so Jura-ninja was disappointed.
And Stran-veli was not about to share either.
And then Mirsku and Stran appeared to be glued to the deck.
Now  Mirsku is showing off - we think he is talking about a fish he caught and how big it was.
This was the longest yawn in history too! Äiti got about 8 shots of it.
I had to check on Stran. He was a long way away.  Are you still with us, Stran ?
Yes, he really does have his bottom stuck in the air.
And then he reaches back as he finds another leaf or two.
And a roll. He held this position for about 15 minutes. He was gone. Totally out of it. Mashed.
And then Jaava-ninja appeared. Stran pawed her face to help recognise who it was.
And then he woke up and got cuddly.
He licks his lips as he relishes the thought of a ninja-attack.
Only this time he attacks the ninja! Fueled by kissanminttu he has the strength and enthusiasm of a cat half his age. Lucky he is gentle!
And he continues - but does he realise that now he has a mancat under his mighty paws ?
 Oh - it's Jura!
Look at the cheek of this young whipper snapper !
Äiti didn't get the next bit on film, but Stran chased Jura into the house and right up the stairs! Then he needed a rest, and very soon was asking Äiti for munchies. Loyal readers, we do sincerely believe that this kissanminttu is powerful stuff. Äiti would like to keep some over winter, but it would have to be indoors. No chance!

Wow, that catnip sounds amazing! I wonder if they have any of that stuff in the U.S. Although maybe I should not try my luck - my human had a hard enough time getting the plant I have to grow!

That looks like great nip! It is obviously better than the stupid seeds mum bought. We just sniff it and walk on by. Trust her to get the wrong sort. She says it does have pretty flowers though, and the butterflies like it.

Lookit that LEG EXTENSION!!!

Holy Cats. Mommy says that Äiti could grow some nip in a pot hanging from the ceiling, and drive you all mad with desire.
What a cruel woman our Mommy is.

Wow--good stuff! Stran obviously becomes Super Cat on that nip!

Is there enough summer left for you Aiti to plant a few more pots of your super- nip? Boy, that stuff will really wake you up on those dark winter's days.
Mirsku's big yawn is so cute. He really is so photogenic. Looks like our handsome Stran is feeling quite fine. Hope he didn't overdo. He has the most beautiful eye. There is something so captivating about him. And, those ninja's are definitely made of rubber.
