Troubled Thursday

We've been worried about Stran-veli. Yesterday he didn't wake Äiti for our breakfast so we knew something was wrong, so she got him to ystävämme eläinlääkäri as soon as it opened. Äiti says she has never known him not eat in all the time he has been with her.
Stran's röntgen was very good- better than two years go, and his heart is working well. He needed some fluids, which is not unusual in the hot weather we have had, particularly for a more mature, muscular mancat. Äiti has noticed that since he has started a small dose of medrol he has wanted more cuddle time, which is unusual for him, so we are worried it may be his new medication making him feel quite sick. He spent yesterday in the 'balcony suite' upstairs with lots of food, and he came strutting downstairs at tea time for some food (including his yummy raw meat but he was given a day off from his big tablets). Paws are being crossed here as you can imagine. Very firmly crossed. While he was convalescing Jaava decided to play smacky paw with Roosa, and then she even biffed Äiti on the nose. These things happen when the boss is not well: we need him in tiptop condition. His blood test results will be through today.

Update: Äiti is delighted to report she was woken by Stran's paw in her face as he wanted breakfast at about 5am. He ate well. Then he woke her two hours later, again. He had a head rub and purred away but still wanted to get her out of bed. She gave him more food when the rest of us got our special foods (Mirsku-veli and I get extra yummy dried food to help us pee(mail) smoothly, hehehehe). Then a short time later Stran trotted over to Poo Corner and did some most excellent digging before availing himself of the facilities. Now he is a very fast coverer upper, so Äiti only briefly glimpsed the product - not perfect but progress apparently. Apologies to those of you for whom this is too much information: but Äiti is utterly anal about our business.  We thank you all kindly for your comments about Stran.

We are glad Stran is feeling better again and his tests were good.
We can never poop in peace. As soon as mum sees some digging, she is there watching what comes out. If it is little bullets, the paste soon gets put on our paws.
