Sunday Smackdown

After watching the great Olympic opening ceremony and trying to point out to us that she used to live in London, we were even less impressed when Äiti went to watch stinky birds at sunrise yesterday. She came home later and then went back to bed. Luckily we had been left with enough food to avoid starvation, but this is tantamount to neglect. Emotional neglect. We have our needs! Luckily we all pulled together and were able to cope with this criminal deprivation.
Ruska was out on the catio, snorting away the nip his sister Raisu sent from Finland (South) and suddenly he could really see flying pinkish things. Jaava and Jura began their ninja stuff.
This of course meant the rubber skeletons were in full operation.
Jaava-ninja may be smaller but she gives as good as she gets.
And of course Jura fights back.
Jaava is queen of the mean stare, circling round like a true girlcat, doing the psych-out thing.
But Jura can conquer with muscle.
Until she lifts one paw and he finds himself part of 'The Matrix' manouevre. He flies upwards.
And arches back down. Apologies for the photo - Äiti needs more practice taking shots of us, not those stinky birds.
But Jura comes back down to earth, front paws first.
And he's ready for more.
There's not limit to the butterball bouncing they do. Luckily Jura had the great idea of bouncing on Äiti and that at least woke her up for a while!

Can we ship Iza over to you all for workouts like that? She's active, but needs more actives! A Big Moon with you and she would be a "sleek streak"!

Wait, mebbe that would be too hard on US! ~ Ayla and Marley

We think these action shots are great! It must be very hard to photograph the ninjas while tusslin! Glad to see the horde enjoying some nice outside time. Have a great day. xoxo

Pee Ess - those bird may be "stinky" but are probably very tasty! MOL!

"Criminal deprivation". It's great to learn these very much needed expressions from this blog. Especially now as Moby Dick the White Whale is going back to work next week.

Photographing Ninja's is TOUGH work. The action never stops and the challenge can be dizzying. Kudos to you!

pee ess: I introduced you to some of my followers on Twitter but I should have waited till we (you and I) were on line at the same time. I hope they followed you.

We enjoyed the wrasslin match! It is so hot here that no one is interested in expending that much energy :)
