What's to be thankful for Friday ?

We were abandoned. We cannot pretend to be thankful that Äiti left us yesterday, drove off, left us with bad weather and not enough food and then came back at nearly midnight. You could hear our bellies rumbling from Raahe (that's an hour's drive away). Lewis-veli demonstrates here how we felt.
And when she came back, she fed us and then left, saying 'I'm going to get that kuovi' (that's the Evil Noisy Beak we showed you earlier this week). So of course we were delighted, and full of hope and joy.  We  lined up at the window, waiting for her to bring it back, slung over her shoulder and hopefully skewered on its own beak ready to grill but she just returned with her camera.
We are so not happy. But we also will have the last laugh. She needs her sleep - we spent the day sleeping so there's going to be no nice lie in for her!

You are clearly suffering from major neglect... Should we inform the authorities?

Poor you. We really heard here in Raahe, when your bellis yelling food. Unfortunately we did cannot help you.

Hope you will recover soon this horrible day. You have to remind äiti which is the right priority.

And about kuovi... HE'll used to left us pretty soon. Äitikuovi is already somewhere south and warm countries.

How on earth you lived through such mistreatment is nothing short of a miracle!

Or exaggeration.

How terrible! The next time your mum has something you enjoy on her plate, we give you our permission to steal it! Let her tummy rumble.
