Midsummer madness

We have had a very busy juhannus. Äiti had to come and supervise us. can you imagine! And we have discovered the best new hobby: birdwatching!
Yesterday we had full focus on flying things.
The first families of the summer had left the nest and were having flying lessons. We were so hoping our telepathic instructions would guide them carefully to the catio. Here are some bite size snacks.
This parent bird would have been a few mouthfuls.
Our new hobby has promoted a common bond between Jaava-ninja and myself.
We synchronised our observations.
And she couldn't resist a lip lick.
And this is what's inhabiting the garden snack dispenser. We can wait!
Äiti made sure that no birdies came close to us. We were most disappointed by this but she made up for it with plenty of nip later as we celebrated midsummer.
And finally we have a photo taken (without flash) at midnight on the catio, just to amaze and amuse you non-near-arctic felines! I am on the table demanding dry food - it is late as Äiti has been up watching football. Tuomo-veli is watching in the background - he'll shoot off like a bullet as soon as the food cupboard is opened. Well, so will we all.

Well that photo does amaze us non-near arctic felines (and humans)! We've never heard of midnight nipfests, but Mommy said she has heard of midnight meowgaritas! MOL! Enjoy your bird-watching, furriends!

Pee Ess - we can't remember if you've mentioned if you have squirrels. they are E-V-I-L.
