It is indeed true, kitties, that we can poke Äiti out of bed at 5.30 for breakfast. This is a strategic, well planned attack. Usually it will start with a head butt from Tuomo-veli at about 4.30am. This drags her out of deep sleep and lets Tuomo have a dopey tummy tickle. Then she snores away for a bit and Jura-ninja leaps on her chest and digs under the duvet. He is normally removed. Pekka-poika is beginning to join in on the act by purring on her stomach, But the final straw is Stran-veli who sits by her pillow and when she turns to face him, he pokes a gentle paw in her face. This paw does normally have a claw out and that's it - she gets up. We admit she gets up for work at this time (something about getting in early as it's peaceful), but on weekends and holidays she gets up and comes back to bed again once our tummies are full.
Most of us wait politely for our food. Pekka-poika gets a bit excitable and needs calming down.
I of course volunteer to do this. But notice Harris-veli is hanging around with interest. He is beginning to think about joining in our games.
And just to show how much Pekka-poika and I love each other we have a great big mancat hug. Äiti missed the next bit, where I slapped him down on the floor and he ran off like a girlcat. And I got to get the food first!
Oh, and I also get special food - as I am a bit too lean, Äiti makes sure I get to eat special dry food which protect against urine crystals and its quite fatty. I have to eat carefully, otherwise it gets stolen by the ninjas. It's very off putting having the burmese butterballs harassing you when you are eating so Äiti has been trained to hand feed me.

Hug? It looks like you two are enjoying a rumba!
Wow! You two really like to hug don't you?!
You really are very strict about getting her up early, aren't you? In our case, we, Bibi and Genji, are usually in bed with #1. She starts stirring around 8am and Bibi is often still in bed long after she's up! And if she gets up too early for our taste, we don't even move, and that includes Tommy!
Aiti is such a good caretaker, to get up so early. We like Stran's strategy; it's one that Derry used since he first came to live with us. He doesn't really need the claw anymore, though. :-)
Love that last shot, especially--it's priceless. LOL.
Happy Easter weekend to you all!
You have Aiti trained very well to hand feed you.
Your morning routine is SUPERB! Especially the hand-feeding bit...
A kitty tango with the required dip. Such talent!
Wow! You are so stilish! And that poke with a paw, I do it too. And mom gets up, every time. Once I happened to poke her in her mouth, happily she did´nt bite.
Have a Happy Easter!
