Tardy Sunday

We have received a complaint from a loyal reader - why is this post late! Well, Äiti's excuse is that she wanted to post about the trip to Kuopio yesterday, and I must admit I have spent time letting her rest and snuggling with her rather than demanding a blog post. She got back very late and we did let her sleep in a little. But now she is finally letting me post. Äiti came back very happy and said she enjoyed the show. We were immediately suspicious and we began checking her back pack and baggy jumper. Luckily she bought back no additions, but we did get a lovely new cat bed and a second ess! I shall have to work out how I can be king of both our esses.
Now, back to the show. We are delighted to decvlare that Jura and Jaava's sisters Annabella and Isablle did very well and showed there is excellent Burmese breeding from Kissmollin.   This was the butterballs first show and they behaved very well.
Isabelle was a bit unsettled so was kept busy with some iPad games.

She didn't like being in a cage for a while. Look at those bitey girlcat teeth.
But she showed her true spirit and then judge was very impressed. Annabella also showed her best side.
Isabelle had lots of Burmese spirit. Hmmm, we know all about that - it keeps us awake. The judge said she was excellent.
And after judging, she had a great big poo in her cage and settled down nicely. Then she found it rather tiresome!

But Annabella did even better and won her class, and got a lovely certificate and medal.
Now Äiti herself was very surprised she enjoyed the show so much. In England she was totally opposed to breed cats because there were so many unwanted domestic cats. Here she says things are different and she sees that the cats at the show were well loved, and some even enjoyed the attention. And of course she still greatly supports us 'rescues' and would be very rude to anyone who just bred cats as a business or to win prizes. But she was surprised and had fun. However we will take her word for that as we don't want to go to the shows and she has said she will not take us. For a start, 8 hours with me in a car would burst her eardrums! And secondly she says that we would win all the prizes and other cats deserve a bit of a chance.
She has an album of photos from the show, but I have allowed her to post a couple of pictures here as they made her happy so maybe she'll stay here and give all her attention to us and not everyone else!
But here is a magnificent fluff. What ear fur - nearly as good as mine.

We really did have to check Äiti hadn't bought this little one home. What a beauty.
And this was a most joyful tummy tickle!

Glad the show went well. Good thing the rest of you aren't going, though. You're so right 'bout how you would win ALL the prizes. Others need to have at least a little chance to win something, I suppose. You are all so beautiful, if you were all there... well... there would be stunned silence in awe of your beauty before the judges put big frilly ribbons on each and every one of your cages. I am sure this is what would happen.

The kitties at the cat show were lovely, but we think Äiti is probably right when she said you would have won all the prizes if you had been there. An extra ess - what a surprise! We are looking forward to see pictures of the mighty king, relaxing on his double ess throne.

That's great that your human came home with gifts and no extra kitties! I wonder if there were any Somalis at the cat show.

We are glad no one new came home! And that the show was good! The Abby would have been tempting though..

That Aby is gorgeous and enough to tempt anyone! That was our mum speaking, not us. Don't take any notice of her, we don't.
