Snacky Saturday

I am not happy about this, but Äiti wishes me to talk about my preferred eating habits. She has said I am a 'picky little pest'. Pah!  I cannot help if I like freshness and am very particular about what enters my royal digestive system.
Yesterday, she who must satisfy my every whim, went to get me some food. Individually packaged portions donated by ystävämme eläinlääkäri.
As soon as my food dries out I do not wish to eat it. This means she's not so happy about the 2kg bag of Specific urine stone prevention food she's just opened as I'm refusing to eat it now that it is a day old.  She is thinking that she will spend a wonderful afternoon opening up the 3kg bag of Specific she's just bought, individually portioning them up in cling film. She says this will have to do as she cannot afford to deoxygenate the air that they are stored in. Pah! I suppose I have to accept these hardships. She has noticed I get more 'fussy' when she abandons us for a trip, and last week's cat show was one example. Well, if no one is there to make their hand into a bowl for me to eat from, of course I am going to lose my appetite. What is it with these humans - she just does not understand! And she says I'm the only cat on the planet who doesn't eat Dreamies (that's Temptations to you lot over the Pond). Now I really think she is exaggerating. Do you have any advice as to how I can cope with these ridiculous claims ?  And please don't suggest wet food -I don't like that either.

Wow, we get good foods, but TBT makes us eat the ones we dont like the best sometimes.

I have no advice except how to BE picky... and I think you already have that down, Puna. I thought I was particular about food, but you have even me beat!

We also eat Specific crunchies but the regular kind and we are not terrible fusspots, it would seem... #1 opens the bag, quickly transfers some to a tupperware and then dishes out from the tupperware. It works for us, but kings are notoriously fussy, of course!

So you don't like Dreamies/Temptations? Have you tried Party Mix, Puna-Chan?

Sorry... can't help you to cope with the 'ridiculous claims' as my peeps have been known to say similar nonsensical things. I think peeps just make up this stuff. Maybe they think it's fun? I don't know how to stop them from doing so, so... I just roll over and wash my tail or have a nap or something.

We can't comment, Puna-Chan, in fact, Mommy refers to us (rudely) as "Feline Swine".

We are picky too. When we tell mum we like something she buys several boxes and the next day we don't like it. We get wet food and if we don't eat it all right away, we won't eat it later. Mum feeds the leftovers to the birds. We are hoping they will get so fat that they won't be able to fly.
