Britcat bravery

The Britcat brothers, Harris and Lewis are not famous for their confidence. Äiti would still like to meet their previous 'owners' who didn't interact with them at all and left them so lacking in confidence that they will never volunteer to be touched.  She says she'd like to show these horrible people some interaction.....
Anyway, Lewis and Harris are getting more confident - slowly. Lewis will now appear for food and wait very politely for it. He still is really nervous. Harris actually stands quite close to Äiti and she is often about to trip over him at feeding time. But she is very happy about that. Harris-veli is also very sociable with the others. He has always adored Stran-veli, who can do anything to him. But he does get a bit nervous when there's lots of chasing, so Äiti was very pleased to catch this triumph of the meek and mild over a brash butterball.
We were given some delicious valerian mousies, and Harris was drooling away, kneading one to death.
Jura-ninja of course came by snooping.
Harris-veli tells him politely that the mousie is taken.
And goes on cuddling it with all claws exposed. He has great claws, does Harris. He tap tap taps across the wooden floor!
Jura tries the snuggle approach, as he knows Harris is very soft and polite, and likes kitty head rubs.
But Harris-veli launched himself at Jura, with full tummy exposure and paw extension. Jura was squished upwards and very surprised.
So surprised he snuck off, with Harris' paw waiting for a little side swipe as he slunk away.
Three cheers for the victor - Harris-veli.

Sometimes a little root-induced confidence is a good thing. We love seeing and hearing about the beautiful Brits.

P.S. Our Aiti wants to go along with your Aiti for some added "interaction" on Lewis and Harris behalf.

Good for you Harris! Sounds like the valerian gave you some Dutch courage.
