To be honset, we're not particularly thankful this Thursday. It's still snowy out and Äiti has to go to work and abandon us - and stays out extra late for her Finnish classes. And then maybe dashes out to take photos in the evening. And Äiti is very grumpy as she has to go to work, and for some reason is not sleeping. We don't know why - each of us checks she is asleep: we have an after midnight rota so the ninjas check on the hour buy jumping on her, Tuomo checks every couple of hours by licking her nose and demanding tickles, and Stran appears at 4am with a paw poke. Or two.
So Äiti decided it was time for a gratitude check and said we all have a lot to be thankful for - afterall many kitties and people have much worse lives. And she said she'd post the first photo from the archives she found that really made her smile. So, here we have some summer tarting from Mirsku-veli.
And then she wondered why I got stroppy because the photo was not of me. It is my blog afterall, and my loyal readers want to read about me! So then she found this picture and now I can be content. Until I find the next thing to complain about.

Well... I don't think you've done a particularly good gratitude job today, Puna! But then, gratitude comes harder for us kitties, since we know exactly how much we deserve.
Very considerate of you to check on Äiti. No doubt that makes her wake up refreshed and well rested. :)
Those pictures make us wish for warm, lazy days in the sun. Spring, please hurry.
Ditto Findus.
Frankly, our human can't fathom how Aiti gets any sleep at all. She has a hard enough time with just the two of us! :-D
That is strange that Aiti cannot sleep, especially as she has all of you to keep checking on her. The second photo made us laugh. The grass in your mouth makes you look like a Janner with a straw hanging out!
But a kitty tummy in the sun shine is worth remembered a better day!
We check on our mum all during the night too! People frequently ask how she got the scratches all over her legs. She tells them "gardening".
