Silvervine Indulgence Sunday

Loyal readers, if you have been attentive, you will remember a week or so ago I reported that a package was opened  and the contents hidden. I have been able to indulge in the precious cargo: silvervine!  I can report that a good time was had, as confirmed by the photos.
My box is always a good place for a slurp on the old mood enhancers. Äiti wraps them up in kitchen paper which we can destroy.
I was feeling safe enough to expose my tummy. No, tickles are not permitted unless I am just waking up from a sleepy snooze. And then, within seconds I will be fully awake and you will have claws embedded in your arms. Don't even try!
The room was spinning a bit so it felt good to focus on a really interesting spot on the floor. I can't remember why it was so interesting, but I could have written a novel about it at the time.
And then I got involved in chewing the tasty leaves.
And might have fallen over - I cannot remember.
But it was great there, in my box. All alone and undisturbed. But then I peeked round the sides and realised I was not alone......
And, loyal readers, on a more serious note, we need to tell you that our beloved and much respected Rilli-ukko is struggling with his poorly kidneys. We know he will not be with us for much longer and we are making sure that he has special times with us, and Äiti while he is here. He is still demanding and munching muikku, but it is becoming harder for him. We know he will tell us what he needs.

I am sending lots of purrs Rilli's way, and to all of you kitties and your human too during this rough time.

We are purring for Rilli.
The silvervine looks very good. We laughed at your audience in the last picture.

Dear Rilli, I'm also having a kidney problem but so far I feel ok. I hope all the best for you too. Be brave.

We indulged in silvervine here too, last evening -- this time our dull-witted human rubbed some on the little kickeroo and that did the trick. So we LOVED your pics, your reaction. :-)

We're sending our purrs and purrayers to Rilli-ukko, and to Aiti too. When it's his time to pass, we ask the universe for a peaceful, merciful, gentle crossing. And for whatever it is that Aiti needs to get through this, for her own sake.

Peace and Blessings.

Puna-Chan, we think you may have been Bogarting that 'vine, judging your audience!

We are sending soft purrs your way, to comfort Aiti and help ease Rilli on his journey.
