Ilves Monday

Yesterday Äiti visited some of our relatives, the handsome, mighty ilves, the lynx which prowls the forests of Finland. These are in a big animal park, about 150km away. There are also many wild ilves in Finland, but you have to be really lucky to see them!
They are most handsome, and worthy of our respect.
Even if Äiti can't leave them in peace for a spot of private washing.
And this big cat stretching feels so good ! Äiti loves their tails - a little puoli-häntä with a black end.
But wethinks only a fool would attempt a tummy snorgle here.
On patrol around his kingdom, this ilves found some food.
And of course livened things up by playing with it.
Nothing quite like a big stretch after a bit of a snack.
 And a wash of course.
And a nose lick.
And then keeping a careful watch over the kingdom, making sure that all will be well for long journeys into the unknown.

Beautiful photos of the lynxes! They are magnificent cats, almost as gorgeus as Pikku Punapippuri :D

Be careful PPP. We have quite big neighbor, I mean ILVES. It is beautiful, but dangerous for cats like us. In our neighborhood have two poor cats disappeared. Only lynx footprints have been remaining us, who is the strongest cat.

And billions hugs and sweet thoughts to RILLI-UKKO. We love you and struggle in our hearts with you. Eat muikku so much you can, it helps.

WOW! The Ilves are so handsome, and have such big snowshoe paws! They manage to make Mirksu look PETITE! We imagine their kittens are adorable.

What a magnificent cat! Lynxes are so beautiful, but for the same reason that Vilperi writes about, we hope we will never meet one . Mum is very impressed with Äiti's pictures!
